Tomorrow morning, July 23, from 9-12, the community is invited to stop by the Walker Jones Education Campus to see what is going on in the emerging student garden at the corner of K and New Jersey. Many volunteers have been hard at work developing this unused portion of campus before the students return from summer vacation, and would love your help and your input on this exciting project. Stay tuned for an organized schedule for community volunteers and harvest days come fall. In the meantime, watch our project grow by stopping by for a visit, or on our blog, or follow us on Twitter at wjfarm. Please address any questions to the community outreach director at the school, Frances Evangelista, at frances.evangelista@dc.gov. We hope to see you in the garden in the morning!
