Greetings everyone & happy New Year! This month's MVSNA meeting is back to business on Tuesday January 17th at 7:30pm at Yale Condo lobby, 437 NY Ave NW. On the agenda:
1. Announce initial slate & nominations for 2012 MVSNA Board Elections. It's that time! We will have vacancies so if you are interested in serving, let us know. It is a wonderful experience! Elections will be held at the February meeting.
2.Public Safety. We have new PSAs & new Lts.
3. 460 New York Avenue Presentation - Jeff Utz of Goulston & Storrs. The big brick box across from Safeway. How will they park? Come find out!
4. Dick Munn for a brief discussion on interest in starting a Village for aging in place. This has been done successfully in other areas of DC.
5. 1232-6 NJ Ave NW, next steps. Despite community, ANC and Historic Preservation opposition, the 3rd Street Church of God is appealing to the Mayor's Agent to allow them to knock 3 houses down for parking. The hearing will be in February.
6. Hoagie House- Brief discussion. This property at 4th & N has a new owner and the ground floor is zoned commercial. What would we like to see or not see open there?
