Fringe Festival

It's time for the annual Capital Fringe Festival again, and for those of you who don't know, the heart of it is right here in Mt. Vernon Square. There are over 100 plays in 14 venues, all within easy walking distance. http://capfringe.org/

HANDBOOK FOR HOSTS

Shaw's own "avant pop" performance company, Banished? Productions (A Tactile Dinner; Desire Caught by the Tail) will be represented at the Fringe again with Handbook for Hosts, based loosely on the 1949 Esquire manual (a collaboration with the outstanding comedy troupe Happenstance Theater). Starts Friday. $15 tickets
