Greetings all, summer is in full swing and there are many exciting things going on!
The next MVSNA meeting will be Tuesday July 20th, 7:30pm, at the Yale Loft Condo, 437 New York Ave NW. The agenda is seasonally light so we shall see if we can't rustle up some wine & refreshments so neighbors can enjoyably meet & greet.
The following week on Tuesday, July 27th, CCCA will likely have a discussion regarding parcel 42, a sizable lot at 7th & R which recently sprung a good old fashioned tent protest a la the Bonus Army. Please note their probable alternate meeting location - from CCCA prez Martin Moulton:
Ketan Gada and his team will be at the next CCCA meeting to discuss Parcel 42 and the matter-of-right development that's apparently just about ready to begin its plans for the site. The July 27 CCCA meeting will likely be held at the soon to open Beau Thai Restaurant ( pending floors being finished ) at New Jersey Ave & R Street NW.
Tuesday August 3rd is National Night Out. In addition to the main MPD events (http://mpdc.dc.gov/mpdc/cwp/view,a,1242,Q,547053,mpdcNav_ GID,1541,mpdcNav,%7C,.asp) there will be various local safety walks & neighborhood gatherings. Stay tuned to the lifein.mvsna.org blog and the listserves as we will be posting events.
ANC, Police, & community group meetings typically break for August but that doesn't mean the fun stops. In addition to various political theater as campaigns move into high gear, we have much more going on.

Every Sunday in August, The Five Eye Film Festival will be going on at the lot at 5th & I Streets NW 8:30pm. 5 Sundays, 5 awesome Asian movies. Its going to be so much FUN! for full details check out:

Also, we would like to welcome our newest business neighbors: Bicycle Space, about to open on the 400 block of I St NW, and District Crossfit, newly opened on the 600 Block of NY Ave. Bicycle Space is organizing regular community bike rides. So many ways to be fit in the Triangle...
