June at Northwest One Neighborhood Library...This month with Summer Reading!

June is here and the gang over at Northwest One Library is gearing up for a jam packed summer- filled with fun programs and summer reading at the library!  Come by for books, movies, crafts, game nights, story times and more. Some highlights for June are:

-Summer reading! Come sign up for our summer reading programs: Make a Splash (kids ages 0-14) and Make Waves (teens ages 12-17). We have great prizes and programs including three special performers for teens and two performers for kids this month! More to come in July...

- Comics invading the library! Weekly film screenings of comic movies (think The Watchmen, Iron Man, etc) and a panel discussion on 6/26 with local cartoonists and graphic novelists, moderated by the Washington City Paper's Mike Rhode.

- Three events focused on HIV awareness. Learn about prevention, making empowered choices, and even get tested for free at the library.

As always, check out www.dclibrary.org/northwest for more information or give us a call!

Hope to see you at the library,
Bobbie @ NW1
