First i want to thank whoever it was for nominating me for the Cafritz Award .I did not win the top award but i was a Finalist out of 230 people.So want to thank you guys you are trul;y wonderful. Next i would like to bring to your attention about the recent shootings we have had. At this point the detectives are working on information about the shootings but right now we have know ideal of what started the shootings back.
We are asking if anyone have any information about the shootings to contact the Third District Detective Office on 202-673-6918 Of the CIC on 202-727-9099. This weekend is a big event for the House of Prayer so there will be some street closuer in the area.

Thanks MPO Barnes for the update! Any word on the recent wave of muggings especially on the 1100 block of 5th? What can the neighbors do besides making sure our properties are lit well and calling 911 for all suspicious activity?

The Muggins are happening on both sides .The neighbors can start by when they are walking home do not have there ipods in there ear if they are walking thru a area where there has been a increase in robberies. Secondly if they see a group of men or two standing or walking in the same area where they are going it is best to wait until those men leave the area or go another direction or take a cab. Then last but not least if you are out for the evening and you are by yourself take a cab home this will also keep you safe even thought it is a few blocks up the street.
Then we need to get the Business owners invovled and both psa to form a boarder patrol to share information during the officers tour of duty. I hope that this helps and for any other question or activity that you see you can either call me or reach me on the information provided below

The owner of the vacant property that was formerly Baker-Webster needs to be held accountable for his offices that he's deliberatley keeping THE LIGHTS OFF and vacant. stop blaming the victims
