Rats in Mount Vermin Square!

This one is for my momma, a long time activist for flat rat alley...

This evening we were enjoying a leisurely stroll home from Mayur on K Street cutting thru Mount Vernon Square chatting away.  I thought it was funny when my friend's dog started making a ruckus trying to pull out of her collar somethin fierce...i looked over and to my HORROR i saw a horrific swarm of rats along the west side of the Carnegie Library.  It was disgusting, there were at least 20 of them scurrying in the light and who knows how many more in the shadows.  As I hopped on my bike to relative safety on the K street sidewalk, my man & one of our friends decided to investigate the seething rodent mass.  sigh...boys.  They reported that there were also baby rats in the melee.  while waiting for them to catch up I watched one rat after another zip along the library steps and disappear into a large crevasse between the 1st & 2nd one.   So now I've got an acute case of the heebie jeebies and I just wanted to warn y'all about the befouled dangers lurking in Mt. Vernon Square.  ugh.

As I cross my arms in front of my head, nod my head, and blink .. the post is now renamed as you desire.

You have two wishes left ... ;-)
