We knew it was coming but we didn't dare hope too much...Years of activism can breed cynicism, especially with this particular swath of land, so I was repeating `I'll believe it when I see it` ad nauseum...yet...despite the acrimonious history, the murders, even the tears, we are getting a groundbreaking! Monday Sept. 28th at 2pm. This is the stuff that makes my day. Lets make a happy new history for this budding community oasis.
This news is made doubly sweet by yesterday's groundbreaking for another park at 10th & M.

Congratulations to our neighborhood and thanks to DPR, our elected officials,.and the many residents that made this finally happen.
