It looks like the "ladies" have moved from 4th and K NW to the park at 5th and Mass and have set up camp these past few days-Is this something that MVSNA can work on to move them along in another direction, since we moved them out of the 4th st area between L and K NW

from reading the police listserves it seems that street prostitution has increased like mad this year. not sure what thats all about but even the real chicks are back at 13th & mass struttin their stuff in g strings & thigh highs. I would highly suggest sending specific info to the police via the listserve or email directly to the Lt. descriptions, times, locations, plate #s (and yes it seems the ladies like to bring their own cars.) Prostitution laws are pretty soft in DC so the object is to make the entire area not worth the hassle of working. It also compliments the open air drug trade. Some resources:

saw the MPD cuffing 2 prostitutes in the 5th and I park on my way home from work the other night (around 8:00pm). it was apparently a drug bust as well - I heard the cops discussing it over the radio when I walked by. Let's get this stuff out of our 'hood...

I walk by 13th & L every morning and used to always see the girls ending their shift there but haven't seen them for months. I have some friends though that ride the circulator on K that will have an occasional sighting.

yesterday around 6:30 there was a gaggle of tranny hos on the 1000 block of 4th st. half were tussling and moving up the block, the other half were splayed out on the grassy patch throwing LOTS of trash. I texted to 50411.

also noticed there is a pile of lumber on the bible way lot (with a vagrant on top), wonder what thats about.
