Question
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any place in the neighborhood where one can donate clothes? When I lived on Capitol Hill there was a donation drop box at the local supermarket but have not found anything similar in Mt. Vernon Square.
Thank!

I'd also be interested. I have a bunch of men's dress pants and shirts that I'd like to donate to either a local church or other charity.

Actually, I work for such a place. Bread for the City accepts clothing donations Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. I'm also around some Saturdays and I can accept donations while I'm here. Our Northwest Center is located just above Mount Vernon Square a little after 7th and P NW. Feel free to come on by.

I believe this church has programs for folks who need such things. They had a clothing table at their recent block party a few weeks ago.
