Shooting @ 4th & N

I was on the street when the shots rang out on Saturday at 5th and N st around 9:15. We walked by a very shady character hanging out on the corner of 5th and Riggs. He had a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and his hands in his pockets. We picked up the pace past him because we knew he was up to no good. Two blocks later, we heard the gun shots ring out and could see the light from the gun going off at N st. Scary that if we would have been a few minutes behind we would have been right in the middle of it. There was a cop sitting right there at the 2nd NW Coop, so the cops had a VERY fast response time. We gave the cops a description of the guy we saw and the description was confirmed buy someone at the NW Coop. I do not know if they caught the person, but somehow I doubt it. When is the senseless violence going to stop?

Thanks for the update, Mike. Glad you were alright. I assume you mean Ridge St., not Riggs, correct?

Of course he meant Ridge. I don't know why people confuse it all the time! Should we get that street renamed? If so, it needs to be something not even remotely close to Riggs... like Roth, Rail, Rake, Rune, Rowe, Rand, or hell.. just make it a far extension of Riggs Street.
