In addition to the awesome MVTriangle blog's excellent coverage, here are a couple crappy photos from the event. For those of you who dont remember, "The Arts" (plays sound) is the snazzy proposal involving the Melia Hotel, Boisedale restaurant/jazz club, a cafe, bike store, etc. Developers include Donahoe, Holland, & Shalom Baranes (architect). And they had a blog. This team was the one the community & ANC were most in favor of. If I'm not mistaken this developer is contracted for the property up to K Street which includes the Rogue & Fun Fair!!! Council approval of the deal will be required once its all worked out, expect shovel to hit dirt in about 18 months. So they say at least 3 yrs to completion. I dont know about you all but I'm bouncing with joy! Thanks to DNA, ANC 6C and everyone who kept this moving and made sure the neighbors were informed & had excellent input!

The release states Zenith Art Gallery will be part of the project. It also mentions a hardware store - but I believe that is simply because "The Bike Shop" is owned by District Hardware.
