Of course, the President of Ghana was in town. State dinner on Monday night for him. Extra security on Capitol Hill on Tuesday morning. Also saw several VIP motorcades headed entering the Federal Reserve today. More Park Police than normal at the FDR memorial today. Yup, something was up.

Actually the helipcopter was in response to a violent assault on a woman somewhere near 6th and M. Someone nearby came out to help her but was also injured by the perps.
