DONT BACK JACK
well, i'm shocked! yesterday, saturday morning at 7 AM, a group of DC taxpayers got together and legally placed Cary for Council signs along P St NW from 23rd west to wisconsin avenue. WE DID NOT REMOVE A SINGLE EVANS SIGN. by sunday morning every Cary for Council sign had been REMOVED and every evans sign was still up and beyond the legal limit.
WHO INSTRUCTED THE SIGNS REMOVED JACK? WHO? WE DONT LIVE IN RUSSIA JACK.

This has been going on the whole time. I was slack jawed when Jack claimed at the Dupont debate that Cary's campaign was removing his signs because i can tell you every person on my block is on their THIRD Cary yard sign. My mom is on her THIRD yard sign. most of the Cary signs i put up on Mass Ave have disappeared. I'm sorry, Cary isnt rolling in money to pay people to put up a bjillion signs, let alone take down the opposition's. Jack Evans has an army of people who he has paid to hang WELL over the the legal number of signs allowed. but I doubt he will get fined. not like the laws get enforced.

Jack Evans is a bully. Teach him a lesson he will never forget on September 9 by going to the polls and voting for Cary.

WashWords: If the neighborhood around us looks like its had the attention of the most powerful member of the DC Council, maybe folks should take a drive to the nicer Wards and parts of this Ward 2 before they vote to put things in perspective. Mr Evans is pretty visible as election time approaches. Community leaders around Ward 2 who try to stay engaged with his office year round, know the pattern and cycle of behaviour very well. If a message is not sent on Sept. 9, we can expect more of the same. Those who have not been here long enough to experience the cycle personally might consider not giving Evans the benefit of the doubt this time. He's a 17 year incumbent, the odds are in his favor, he has a lot of money.
There are a lot of vacant properties and lots with Jack's signs in them. I doubt the absentee property owners are putting those up.

Has anyone seen the "Don't Back Jack" posters appearing around the area? They specifically mention the "West End Library" give-away. I'd love to get some copies of those!

Yeah, I saw the "Don't Back Jack" posters. My favorite is the one that says "Jack Hates Democracy". Big shout-out to whoever did those posters.
