Ace Hardware

Yet again the windows at Ace Hardware were shot out last night. What is going on?

Again??? That's awful to hear. Did the glass above the main entrance at the K bldg also get shot? I noticed the glass looked cracked a week or 2 ago when I drove by K Steet.

and right directly across from an MPD headquarters(501 NY Ave)a police station in title only. let me guess...no need for the shotspotter because the car was headed out of town on either 395 or 50.

Is this mere hooliganism, or is it actually a form of "terrorism"? I suspect that it's the latter. It seems to me that by targeting these specific landmarks (repeatedly), the culprit(s) are sending us a message - and their intention is clearly to fighten us. Whoever is responsible is apparently unhappy with (and, I suspect, feels threatened by) the changes that are taking place in our neighborhood.

Terrorism indeed. With clean businesses opening very soon, dirty businesses will be pushed away and will be stressed to find new convenient locations to serve their trash clients from the sub and exurbs.

Consider this--if you were a dirty business owner and faced systematic eviction because of clean businesses, more street lights, and an influx of well educated, gainfully employed residents that will NOT put up with your bullshit... you'd be pissed off too.

The security guard that CityVista employs is as useless as an analog mobile phone. I see him sitting on the K Street side on the window ledge night after night and sometimes talking into a car window to his homeboys. This bozo doesn't deserve his job. No doubt, the residents will end up paying for this disservice--and that's *not* acceptable.
