Tree Boxes
I would also love to have beautiful frames for our Tree Boxes on Kirby Street, NW. Would someone please explain how to have this done. I see that they have just placed tree boxes on the side of Dunbar High School Track and field along N Street.

The new tree boxes look great. Now its up to residents to fill them with flowers or mulch or something. The city is not responsible for them.

Sam, they only put a few tree boxes along the south side of N Street ... they stopped mid-way down the block. No one knows 9or is telling) who is responsible for getting them installed. Not only are they on N Street in front of Dunbar, they are up New Jersey Avenue in front of Dunbar and further up New Jersey Avenue to P Street NW.
The Dunbar track coach did say that the cherrleaders were taking on the project to maintain the treeboxes along the Dunbar side.

the boxes extend north on 1st street to P Street. very nice. i believe Anita Bonds is the ANC for that area. she's great.
