the front end of the Giant is better managed now. lines are not very long. it's a pleasure to go there again.

Richard, what days/times do you go? During my last few visits there, the employees were just as rude and uncaring as ever.

Everyone please take a moment to sign this. The O street market development is sorely needed in the Shaw community and has broad appeal which has been demonstrated by the countless neighbors who have fought hard to get this going.

I have found the cashiers and managers at Giant to be friendly and helpful... sometimes all it takes is being friendly to them. A lot of people walk in the Giant with the pre-conceived notion that it is going to be a bad experience, then by the time you get to a register YOU are in a bad mood. Negativity breeds negativity.

Sorry Drew, but I'm known to be a overly upbeat person and I've been going to that Giant for 5 years now. I have at times run into Giant employees who honestly seem to want to help you ... and I try to look for (each visit) those cashiers that are friendly. But unfortunatley, many of them spend the time (when checking you out) talking to the other cashiers or the people/employees hanging out at the end of the register. If they are checking out a customer then pay attention to that customer (they may have questions or even want to find out how your day is going). They (I) can't do that if you're busy chatting away with other employees.
