Holiday meeting

Happy Holidays everyone!  Its meeting & newsletter time! This month MVSNA will be having our holiday gathering at the home of Lydia & Keith (and hopefully Lydia will make her awesome rum cake again...)
We shall be holding our membership meeting as there are a couple things on the agenda including a follow up presentation & a vote on Douglas Development's Square 450/451 project, some DDOT discussion and a vote on a proposed single sales exemption for Good Libations.  Some links of interest:

So join us in revelry Tuesday December 16th at 7:30pm, at Lydia & Keith's: 400 M Street NW.  Please bring food or drink to share if you are able.  And if anyone is able to help deliver the newsletter this weekend, please email me at niello(at)yahoo.com, thanks!

I'm trying to get up with Richard Rodgers or anyone who has information about the Holy Redeemer Convent on New York Avenue.
Many thanks,
Suzanah

Walking around the neighborhood this past weekend, I saw single serve cans littering the park and gutters -- blocks away from the stores that sell them. So will this agreement keep our area from continuing to be an open air bar? And just because the owner of the establishment will keep that block clear, what happens to us down here in the Triangle where they traditionally come to drink with their buddies? And how do we keep Subway's single serve ban in place if MVSNA continues to chip away at this? The MVSNA has NEVER talked about how they are going to protect the Triangle even though this organization continues to state that it represents that area.
