How Long Was Your Wait to Vote?

How long has everyone waited to vote today?

My polling place is Walker-Jones (Ward 6) and it took 2 hours from start to finish. I arrived to get in line at 7:30 am and walked out at 9:30 am.  Everyone was in a festive mood ... no real issues to report other than the volunteer working the A-C line wasn't as quick as the other lines. If your name started with D-G, you were in luck - never no more than 1-2 in her line.

i havent voted yet, pookie & I are going together around 3pm. spent the morning at Shiloh briefly & then MLK electioneering outside of the polls. traffic was brisk all morning. the Shiloh line was around the block!

neighbor Claudia Booker was interviewed by fox 5 news this morning! they were shooting at MLK and there is a nice shot of Theresa Sule's sign :)

Yes, D thru G had a short line. I was in the long A thru C line. It took under an hour for me to vote, but I think I had missed the morning rush. The man waiting in line in front of me was sipping his 40oz. I wish he had shared a little bit.

In line at Walker-Jones at 6:45, with about 200 people already ahead of me. All done by 8:30. Biggest mistake was waiting for the one electronic voting machine -- that tacked on 20 extra minutes. :)

Oops, was at Henry C. Gregory (9th and Q), not Walker-Jones.

I vote at the Chinese Community Church and it took 1 1/2 hours. Got in line around 7:30 AM. Was in that unlucky group of last names beginning with A through G. Very frustrating!!!

At 1:50 PM, it took me about two minutes in queue. The "PQRS" queue was seven people deep. The queue for the electronic machine was nine people deep.

Everyone was in a cheery mood.

And, sorry, this was at Shiloh's Family Centre.

MLK library

First line = 20 minutes
L-P line = 35 minutes
Paper ballot line = 5 minutes.

My fiance was able to get through the Q-Z line in about 10 minutes meaning she waited 25 minutes at the end for me. It could have been *much* better managed.

Took us about an hour and a half at Walker Jones starting at 11am, but about 20 minutes of that time was spent in the Special Ballot area since The K at City Vista isn't included in the list of properties that should vote there (despite my calling the DC BOE yesterday to confirm whether we vote at Walker Jones or the Chinese Community Church)!
Line wasn't too bad, and we were S-Z (M? through R was definitely the longest wait), although a guy who arrived just after us was A-G and was in and out in less than 15 minutes!

My polling place was Walker-Jones (Ward 6) also I arrived at 6:40am and was about 75 plus people in line. They ushered all the seniors in ahead of us so we needed to wait, plus the flow of the crowd was off, using the same door to enter and exit was a bit of a bottle neck at times, and the A-C line was much slower than the others. I think with all the new residents in this area DC needs to rethink where we vote due to the small size of the area we voted in
A few people had words with election folks about the lines and the seniors, so maybe this will be taken in to consideration

I voted again this year by absentee ballot,(also primary) I don't miss those lines one bit and I like being able to study the ballot for several days before I fill it out.
