Hello to everyone Iam sorry for putting this infomation on the blog so late but i have been real busy with the problems in shaw. First i would like to say that 1330 7th ST building is own by a private company and not the church. The church sold the building to this company. Secondly Gibson Plaza is own by the church at 6th and N ST NW and Mr Crawford is the management compnay for the property.
The task Force that Bishop Long has put together has Doris Brooks ,Sgt. Penn ,and Officer Mervilous on the board as well as some civic leaders. There are some other people as well but i can not think of who it is at this time that makes up the board.
With crime being the main focus in shaw everyone have action plan that they think the Police Department should use. The action plans that are in place is working very well at this point. There have been weekly meetings with the owners and lawyers of 1330 7th ST NW about the building and action that needs to be taken.
Myself and the United States Attorney Office heads this meeting. I can tell you that the owners of this property is cooperating with us and is arranging for more resource for the building. Since the last shooting there has not been another one ,but there has been many arrest and more are still coming.

You can bring your camera"s ,your notebooks or what evere you like to bring to get a better understanding on what is happening on 7th ST as well as in the shaw area itself.
