Now some of the listings on the handy map should read formerly where to buy crack but our area (funfair protest) made it in there along with a few semi accurate Shaw locations & the infamous crack alley transaction that recently transpired in Logan. Do NOT click the link for that one at work, its very graphic. IMHO dragging up the site of MB's bust was a bit outdated & unnecessary when I'm sure an additional crack buying location could've been located. Oh ya this is supposed to be an Urban Travel Guide. Take a look & set em straight.
In other news it seems that there has been a rash of trolling on some of our neighborhood blogs including this one. As you all have no doubt noticed in the recent comments section on the MVSNA blog & others, hilarity has ensued. For those of you who dont know:
"Troll - One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument."
OffSeventh has his suspicions as to the identity of said Troll(s) due to the DC.gov IP address. But for those of you wishing to blog snack on some truly ridiculous statements like:
"is the Mount Vernon Square Neighborhood Association segregated? i am told that they have expanded their boudaries and have attacked or ran black businesses out. I am also told that they attacked the black liquour store at 5th & M."
Here are the locations of the posts besides the one on our site - the flaming is in the comments. If there are others, please feel free to add in the comments to this post. I know some of you all wont resist feeding that Troll, ANC 2C meeting is tonight after all.
Oh one more thing. It appears that Leroy Thorpe, "president" of ECCA got the police to kick Martin Moulton & ANC 2C02 Commissioner Kevin Chapple out of the ECCA meeting on monday asserting that they are "troublemakers." Im not sure why the police agreed to this when they did not ultimately eject them last month. Is this a new policy? Also their bylaws dont permit barring people, but then again, they dont really follow those pesky rules at all anymore. RIP ECCA.

Please note that in the past, the (ANC 2C) Commission's monthly meeting has often been canceled when it is snowing. This decision is generally made shortly before the meeting, and no public notice of the cancellation is provided.

I didn't know liquor, wine, or beer had a color.
The color of the building is blue not black. (yeah, I don't like it either)
The name of the store is Good Libations: not White Libations not Black Libations etc. etc.
Libations: (l?-b?'sh?n)
a. The pouring of a liquid offering as a religious ritual.
b. The liquid so poured.
c. A beverage, especially an intoxicating beverage.
The act of drinking an intoxicating beverage.
d. A play on the song Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys
Is Cake Love a Black pastry store?
Is Aziz Cafe a Black coffee Shoppe?
Bus Boys and Poets was actually inspired (at least the name) by a black man.
I can go on and on.
This store is for everyone. Please don't label us.
